Individual Psychotherapy

I offer individual counseling to adolescents, adults, and children in both short-term and long-term formats. Treatment involves therapeutic interventions from ACT-based, Mindfulness-based, CBT-based, and Emotionally-Focused approaches.

Psychological Evaluations

Psychological evaluations afford you the opportunity to better understand yourself, your partner, or your children. Sometimes an evaluation is essential in identifying the right course of treatment, making or ruling out a specific diagnosis, or determining if a student could benefit from accommodations such as a 504-plan.  Other times, evaluations can be used as a therapeutic tool to help illuminate elements of one's personality. Evaluations take many forms, ranging from Cognitive/Intelligence Based, Academic Achievement/Learning Disability Based, Personality/Mood Based, or Developmental Based. If you are seeking a psychological evaluation, I am happy to speak with you in more detail about the benefits of testing.

Relationship, Family, and Couples Counseling

I offer couples, relationship, and family counseling to those in new relationships, and to those struggling with major life adjustments (moving, marriage, children, etc.). Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) as a guiding principal, I will work with partners, parents, and children to improve communication, resolve distress, and strengthen connection.

Adolescent Groups Counseling

The teenage years are piviotal years for development. Identity, friendships, family, boundaries, school, experimentation, emotion, popularity, success... an endless amount of growing, exploring, and coping to be done.

All children go through these defining experiences, yet some have more difficulty navigating these identity landmarks. The result: anger, frustration, defiance, depression, anxiety, or avoidance.

Children wind up feeling helpless, alone, powerless, incapable, misunderstood, or distrusting. They think "what is the point," or "I'll never be able to do this," or "no one knows what I'm going through."

But, all children go through these defining experiences. And sometimes, the first step towards working through struggles is knowing that other people share the same struggles.

Our adolescent counseling groups provide a safe space to address this very issue. Teenage years are hard, and we can figure out how to manage them together.

As a counselor with years of experience working with adolescents, I am always ready to help teens discuss, explore, work through, and change and struggles they may be facing.

We have groups available for mixed gender, girls only, and boys only. If you would like more information, please call me or email me.

Adult Counseling Groups

Life is hard, there is no getting around that. And simply stating that fact does not make life any easier. Life is hard, and sometimes it feels like it's too much to handle on your own.

Fortunately, you do not have to handle it on your own.

I offer adult counseling groups which are open to mixed gender, women only, and men only. Group counseling is an evidenced based treatment which helps you normalize, discuss, process through, and improve many struggles you may be facing.

Depression, anxiety, anger, loneliness... these are things we have all experienced. Sometimes we struggle with these more than others. Sometimes we feel no one else knows our situation. And yet, we all have experienced these things.

If you are feeling stuck, if you feel alone in your struggles, if you are willing and ready to begin addressing these issues, call or email me for more information.
